When Your Training Is Confirmed

  • We have booked and confirmed our instructor’s time exclusively for you.  
  • If you need to change dates or cancel and give at least 48 hours’ notice you will not be charged. 
  • If you cancel or reschedule this training with fewer than 48 hours but more than 24 hours’ notice from your scheduled session, you will be charged 50% of the training schedule. 
  • If you cancel or reschedule this training with fewer than 24 hours’ notice from your scheduled session, you will be charged the full amount of the training scheduled. 

Instructor Cancellation

Even though they may seem like superheroes, our Instructors can get sick too. If for any reason we must reschedule a lesson on our end, instructors are responsible for reaching out to their students and providing opportunities for re-scheduling. 

Satisfaction Guaranteed

Thinking Driver Academy offers a Satisfaction Guarantee to all registrars – For whatever reason if you are not satisfied with our service, we offer a refund on the lesson that day as well as any pre-paid lessons in the future.

Late Arrival

We understand that life happens. If you’re running late, we ask that you let your instructor know as soon as possible out of respect for their time. Instructors will respect student’s time and wait at pick-up locations for 30 minutes after lessons start to give late arrivals the opportunity to salvage remaining lesson time.  

Student Responsibility

Students are responsible for bringing a valid drivers license. Students are also responsible for having required information provided to us before the start of their first lesson. We also highly recommend wearing appropriate attire for driving. If a drivers license is lost, instructors can assist by offering a ride to pick-up license if it is elsewhere OR to ICBC to receive a replacement license (ICBC replacement fees not included). Late cancellation fee will be applied if a student arrives without a license and refuses to obtain it. Lessons will end at scheduled end times, we will not extend lessons for late starts out of respect to other lesson times. 

Communicable Disease

Thinking Driver has put into place a communicable disease plan to keep instructors and students safe. 

If you are feeling any flu-like symptoms, please refrain from entering the vehicle and let your instructor know with as much notice as possible in order to re-book your lesson.

In Vehicle: All shared spaces (i.e., the driver area) will be cleaned between each student. Plastic seat covers are available upon request. Hand sanitizer is available. Masks are available upon request and are recommended but not mandatory. The decision to wear a mask is at the discretion of each participant in the vehicle and shall be respected. 

All Thinking Driver Instructors must be fully vaccinated to deliver in-car lessons.
